.....La Conexión Colombiana.....

Wow, Rubito was correct on the rate.
I guess, Colombians can continue the good life.

As for the US, basically those owning inflationary assets, will make out great over the next few years. But what kind of people now own: gold, stocks, houses, land, etc... and then what kind of people do not own a house or any stocks???. The true effect of inflation is the rich get richer the poor get poorer. Inflation is a very unfair form of taxation.

I can't quite fiquere how all this will play out , except come 2012, we have repeat of 2008.

Or over the next 4-5 years the 3rd world grows like crazy and the US just stays flats muddles along.

Everyday the news talks about Obama and the US govt pumping billions$$$ into the economy, so far the groups , banks, homeowners, car companies, the worst offenders and the cause of the problems have gotten bailed out and rewarded for bad business decsions.

I won't celebrate until it closes below 2k for a good while. Which it is to me not looking like it has the cahonies to do. I bet we bounce, You can see the correction comming in the dollar as I see it what you have had is a short covering rally and now taking a look around everyone looks bad so why sell the dollar in favor of another currency? Everyone is printing like mad, cutting interest rates, etc. The US is looking to raise them. My bet is still on the dollar long term. So I would no be surprised to see it bounce here and make new highs. Kinda hope not. Bringing things in from the states I am lovin it right now. Wasn't Rubito the one that said it was not going over 2K? I think so...It went to 2600. ;)

It is a crap shoot anyway.

But just to take the eye of of currencies for a moment since to me everyone is in the same printing press solution so what I beleive is more likely to happen is massive global inflation. So I guess the commodity items would be the drivers of true value in that. Colombia does have some of that. The US is a treasure trove of this however in its commodities treasure chests. Did I mention wheat, corn, soybeans? They can make cars that run on water and everyone can do without a gold watch but you got to eat.

The next boom is not going to be gold or oil but I beleive it will be those food based commodities. So marry a farmer young one. It will be the high cost of these commodities, the high demand to produce more an the positive effect this will have on banks and realestate that if we are comming out of this thing for real is going to be the driver. The US and Russia will remain the two super powers of this world. Brazil being the third. Europe will remain on the coat tails of one or the other. ;)

Obama and all his sstimulus and bailing out the pyramid banking system is for nothing. That is the truth friends.
